All parts are edible, from the underground bulbs to the thin leaves, and from the pinkish white flowers to the bulblets that top the stems in summer. Use the stems like chives, or the entire plant. The flavor is somewhere between onion and garlic. Damp soil; good for rain gardens. Native and perennial. Seed from Howard County, Iowa.
