About Wild Bee Balm

A favorite of native bees, with showy 2” heads of tightly packed, tubular red flowers on square stems in midsummer. Surface roots quickly form mats. Massing plants attracts more pollinators. Midwestern seed source.

About Bee Balm

Large flower heads in July and August. Best in sun with enough space between plants for good air circulation. Mint family; aromatic leaves are good for tea. Remove spent flowers to prolong blooming. Deer-resistant. See also Bee Balm and Bergamot in Native Perennials.
