Pyramidal evergreen with a trunk 2–3' in diameter. The bark is cinnamon brown with deep ridges and furrows. Graceful flat foliage sprays with pendant cones that are among the smallest of all. A popular landscape tree. Best in moist soil and with winter protection from rabbits.
