About Lily, Oriental

Oriental lilies are incredibly fragrant hybrids of species from Japan. Usually out-facing, they bloom from the end of July into August and prefer acidic soil. Likely to be short-lived in Minnesota. Doubles are also called "roselilies." See also the AOA Hybrid, Asiatic, LA, Martagon, Michigan, Orienpet, and Other Lilies. All parts of the lily are toxic to cats, even small amounts of pollen and water that held cut lily stems. See the ASPCA for more.
