Sage green leaves with slightly serrated white edges that tint pink in cool temperatures. Spikes of lavender flowers in summer 3–6” above the foliage.

Aroma variously described as pungent, strong, pest-repellant, cannabis-like, skunky, dog-urine-like, and “not too bad.” Related to the scaredy cat plant. Also known as variegated lobster flower.
